Principal’s Welcome

It is a pleasure to welcome you to Haberdashers’ Abraham Darby. As the Principal it is a privilege to spend my time in the company of our talented pupils, teachers and support staff.

Our Vision

We want our school to be a place where everyone feels safe and everyone feels valued.

At  Haberdashers’ Abraham Darby we recognise that every individual is unique and we strive to unlock their potential, with a ‘no excuses’ culture and by inspiring them to become the best version of themselves.

We want our pupils to value and enjoy the opportunities and experiences available to them so that they can achieve the best possible outcomes within and beyond the classroom now and in the future.

Our Values

Our Community, Our School …

Aspiration: We want our pupils to be ambitious, to have  dreams and goals and to work towards these, believing we can make them reality, showing resilience when it gets challenging.

Respect: We want our pupils to listen to and learn from others; to be kind and take care of one another and to take care of our school and its surroundings. We want our pupils to take responsibility for their actions

Excellence: We want our pupils to be ready to learn and to work hard, to be the very best that they can be and to produce a top quality/impressive performance in every lesson and every extra-curricular activity they take part in.

Our expectations are high, and this will always be the case. We know from experience that setting the bar high pushes everyone within our school community to achieve great things; this is embodied through our vision ‘Success for All’

Education is a journey, and we are proud of the fact that many of our pupils opt to continue their journey with us into the sixth form. Some even come back to continue their life-journey as employees.

We have an extensive sporting, creative and academic extra-curricular programme, allowing pupils to work with others in teams, develop their leadership qualities and communication skills and build strong relationships with their peers and staff.

We believe that when families, professionals and pupils work together our youngsters not only enjoy their secondary school experience but thrive, in an ambitious and rewarding culture, finding enjoyment and commitment to lifelong learning.

We hope this gives you a flavour of our school. Please feel free to browse our website to get a glimpse of what we have to offer and to find out more about us. If you’d like to arrange a visit and meet some of our inspirational pupils and staff and to see our impressive building, please contact HADenquiries@taw.org.uk
