What will I study?

You will study the vocabulary and structures you need to be able to cope with everyday situations you might find yourself in when visiting countries where French is spoken. You will study topics relevant to you as a young person in modern society and will be expected to express your views and opinions on a variety of subjects.

 

You will also study literary texts, for example short poems, as part of the course. You will practise the skills needed to learn another language which you may choose to do or need to in the future.

How Will I Earn Marks For My Final Grade?

GCSE Modern Foreign Languages are assessed by a final exam in each of the following key skills areas: listening, reading, writing and speaking. Each of these areas is worth 25% of the final grade.
