Many businesses work in many countries and need to liaise across continents. People with a language A level demonstrate their ability to understand not only another language but also different cultures. Other sectors include the civil service, heritage and tourism, journalism, retail, science and technology and even computer game development. There remains continuing demand for language specialist jobs such as interpreter and translator, especially for people with English as their native tongue.
Do I Need A French GCSE?
Yes, you will need to have studied French at GCSE and the minimum grade required is a 7.
How Should I Prepare For French A-Level?
You should revise your understanding of various grammar points, with a particular focus on the different tenses, as well as ensuring that basic vocabulary is fully established. Listening to French radio or watching French films is also a good way to prepare for French A Level.
