What will I study?
The new reformed GCSE in Design and Technology offers you the opportunity to learn about new and emerging technologies in the real world, smart materials, electronic systems and programmable components, mechanical components and devices and materials.
You will also take on a specialist area of your choice including one of the following areas: Natural and manufactured timber, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, thermosetting polymers and thermoplastics, paper and boards and textiles. Whatever your interest, it can be accommodated under one of these headings.
